Main Market

The largest of the London Stock Exchange's (LSE) markets and comprising four segments:
  • Standard listing segment. Within this segment, Shanghai-London Stock Connect and Shenzhen-London Stock Connect admit to trading listed depositary receipts that represent listed Chinese A-shares.
  • Specialist Fund Segment. This is for highly specialised UK and non-UK investment entities targeting institutional, professional, professionally advised and knowledgeable investors.
The Main Market is a UK regulated market.
Admission to trading is subject to the LSE's Admission and Disclosure Standards, while admission to listing, where relevant, is subject to the Financial Conduct Authority's Listing Rules.
The LSE has introduced "sub" markets within the Main Market such as techMARK and landMARK, as well as the Green Economy Mark and Voluntary Carbon Market designation both of which are open to Main Market companies and AIM companies that qualify.
