Within this category, the Catalogue prohibits wholly foreign ownership in particular industries, for example, the construction and operation of railways, bridges, tunnels and ferry ports, and requires majority shareholding or relative majority shareholding by the domestic party. |
Permitted | All industries other than those listed in the other three categories. |
Restricted | There are 13 classes of restricted industries, each covering various specified areas, for example:
Within this category, the Catalogue prohibits wholly foreign ownership in particular industries, for example, transportation by water and telecommunications. In some other industries, such as passenger carriage by railway, the Catalogue requires majority shareholding by the domestic party. |
