Flexible working policy (long form)

A policy explaining employees' rights to make flexible working requests, incorporating the statutory scheme and a more informal procedure.

The Children and Families Act 2014 will extend the right to request flexible working to all employees from 30 June 2014 (see Drafting note, Legal issues).  To make this policy compliant with the forthcoming changes delete paragraphs 4.1(c), 5, and 6.3(b).

We are currently reviewing this policy against the final version of the Act, which received Royal Assent on 13 March 2014, to check whether any further changes are required.
