In Rainbow v Milton Keynes Council 1200104/2007, a tribunal held that an advert stating that a teaching vacancy "would suit candidates in the first five years of their career" constituted indirect age discrimination. It was a criterion that potentially put persons over sixty at a disadvantage and did, in fact, put the claimant in this case at a particular disadvantage.
