UK/Switzerland tax co-operation agreement signed

The agreement between the UK and Switzerland to tackle tax evasion by UK taxpayers holding funds in Swiss bank accounts was signed on 6 October 2011. It offers anonymous one-off payments to settle past tax liabilities and withholding tax going forward as an alternative to disclosure. This is a detailed legal update on the agreement.
