Ogletree Deakins: Indiana Enacts Right-to-work Law | Practical Law
This Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. memorandum discusses the right-to-work bill that became effective once Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels signed it into law on February 1, 2012. The law makes it a Class A misdemeanor to require an individual to become or remain a member of a labor organization, or to pay union fees or dues as a condition of employment, and creates a private right of action for violations. Indiana is the 23rd state to enact a right-to-work law.
