In July 2012, the Environment Agency (EA), the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) and the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) published a new version of their guidance manual for participants in the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC).

The manual was first published in April 2012 and replaced 31 guidance documents (see Legal update, CRC: EA overhauls guidance to replace 31 documents with manual). Page 3 of the latest version sets out which sections have been changed. Most of the changes relate to the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme (Allocation of Allowances for Payment) Regulations 2012 (SI 2012/1386), which came into force in May 2012 (see Legal update, CRC: regulations on sale of allowances come into force).
