Flexible apportionment arrangement

An arrangement made in relation to an employer that stops participating in a multi-employer defined benefit (DB) pension scheme. The arrangement must provide for one or more replacement employers to become responsible for the leaving employer's scheme liabilities under a legally enforceable agreement. The purpose of the arrangement is to avoid an employer debt being incurred by the leaving employer.
