We have revised and renamed the practice note: Schemes of arrangement and demergers: tax to reflect the entry into force on 6 April 2008 of Part 26 of the Companies Act 2006, which replaced section 425 of the Companies Act 1985. The practice note was formerly called "Section 425 Companies Act 1985 schemes: tax".
