On 30 July 2008, the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced a proposed settlement requiring McCormick & Company, Incorporated to divest its Season-All seasoned salt business to Morton International, Inc. in order to resolve charges that McCormick's proposed acquisition of the Lawry's and Adolph's brands from Unilever N.V. would violate the US federal antitrust laws.
