ISDA Documents: Overview (US)

This Note summarizes standardized documentation published by the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. (ISDA) that is used to document and govern swaps and derivatives transactions globally. The Note discusses the relationships between the ISDA documents, their mechanics, how they are used and which transactions they may be used for. Finally, the Note discusses new ISDA documents and other initiatives designed to help market participants comply with swaps and derivatives regulations under the Dodd-Frank Act.
