On 18 October 2010, the government clarified what it means by "no subsidy for new nuclear", laid a draft order before Parliament relating to operators' funded decommissioning programmes, launched a consultation on a revised nuclear National Policy Statement and finalised the regulatory justification procedure to approve two reactor designs.
