PLC Arbitration has published a Practice note, Challenges to arbitrators. The note highlights the grounds for challenging an arbitrator and the procedure for making a challenge under the major international arbitral rules and some key national laws. It gives examples of the most common scenarios which may give rise to a challenge. The note also considers the tactics of challenging an arbitrator and the consequences of a successful challenge.
