The SEC Advisory Committee on Small and Emerging Companies announced that it will hold a meeting on June 8, 2012 to discuss the effects of the JOBS Act on small and emerging companies.
On May 22, 2012, the SEC issued a notice for a public meeting of its Advisory Committee on Small and Emerging Companies, which is scheduled to take place on June 8, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. EDT. The committee was set up to provide a formal mechanism for the SEC to receive advice and recommendations specifically related to privately held small businesses and smaller publicly traded companies.
The agenda for the meeting includes discussions of provisions of the JOBS Act and other matters relating to rules and regulations affecting small and emerging companies under the federal securities laws.
The SEC is accepting written statements from the public until June 5, 2012.
