The 2012 ICC Arbitration Rules have recently recieved praise at an event in Lagos.
The 2012 ICC Arbitration Rules were recently launched at an event in Lagos, with arbitrators from around the world speaking on different aspects of the new Rules (for discussion about the ICC Rules 2012, see Legal update, ICC Rules of Arbitration 2012 launched). The event was also attended by Mr. Jason Fry, the Secretary-General of the ICC Court.
Arbitrators and arbitration practitioners in Nigeria praised the new rules. The launch of the new ICC Rules should increase awareness of arbitration in Nigeria and promote it in a market which already has a growing number of users, for both institutional and ad hoc arbitration.
