Effective September 4, 2012, qualified trademark applicants will, on the date of publication, receive a link to the exact page in the Trademark Official Gazette Publication Confirmation notice where their marks are published. Only trademark applicants who have authorized e-mail communications with the US Patent and Trademark Office will receive this link.
On August 29, 2012, the USPTO announced that beginning September 4, 2012, trademark applicants who have authorized e-mail communications will receive a direct link to the page of the Trademark Official Gazette (Official Gazette) where the mark is published. Applicants will receive this link on the date of the mark's publication. This link benefits applicants by allowing them to directly access the precise page where the mark is published instead of downloading and searching through the entire publication.
The USPTO advises that applicants should review the information in the Official Gazette for any errors and:
  • Contact the Trademark Office at [email protected] for USPTO publication errors.
  • Use the post-publication amendment form for amendments or corrections after publication, but before issuance of a Notice of Allowance or registration.
