Like other right-to-work laws, the law prohibits union security clauses in collective bargaining agreements. This means that employees will not be required to join a union or pay union dues as a condition of employment. The law applies to collective bargaining agreements that take effect or are extended or renewed after the effective date of the law, which will probably be April 1, 2013.
