The International Trade Commission (ITC) has issued a final rule amending its Rules of Practice and Procedure on discovery, including e-discovery, in Section 337 investigations.
On May 15, 2013, the International Trade Commission (ITC) issued a final rule amending to its Rules of Practice and Procedure on discovery, including e-discovery, that is aimed at increasing efficiency in Section 337 proceedings while preserving fairness.
While the majority of the rules in the final rule are unchanged from those proposed by the ITC on October 2, 2012, the final rules contain eight changes from the proposed version. These changes are summarized in the final rule's overview. The rule will become effective on June 20, 2013.
