A Practice Note outlining the process of filing paper pleadings, motions, and other documents in New York state supreme court. Specifically, this Note explains what documents are filed with the court, and where, when, and how to file those documents, including the use of the Electronic Document Delivery System (EDDS). This Note also outlines the circumstances under which the court clerk can refuse to accept papers for filing.
