The NLRB General Counsel issued a memorandum on April 6, 2015, providing detailed guidance on the final rule adopted by the NLRB in December 2014 that modifies the procedures for processing representation cases. The procedural changes are due to take effect on April 14, 2015 and will apply to all representation cases filed on or after that date. Cases filed prior to April 14, 2015 will be processed under the prior rules. The memorandum summarizes and describes the changes made by the final rule, which affect all steps of the representation case process, from the initial filing and processing of the petition through certification.
