This July, we continue to publish Chinese translations of standard documents and standard clauses. These include Chinese language versions of core standard documents for China inbound M&A, foreign direct investment and employment, and of boilerplate clauses frequently used in commercial contracts as well. This month, we have published standard clauses on marriage leave and compassionate leave entitlements and on disciplinary rules and procedures (see Standard clauses, Employee handbook: marriage leave and compassionate leave policy and Employee handbook: disciplinary rules and procedures. These standard clauses should be included in the employee handbook as part of company leave entitlement policies
As usual, we have also published our regular monthly roundup of key items for general counsel, GC Agenda China (see Article, GC Agenda China: July 2016) and separate legal updates for important legal and practical developments in this month (see Legal updates) and have updated a number of materials in the light of recent developments (see Maintenance).

Chinese language versions of core standard documents and clauses

China-related transactions between Chinese and foreign parties usually involve simultaneous work on English and Chinese-language drafts. To assist practitioners in handling these transactions, we continue to publish Chinese language versions of core standard documents for inbound M&A, foreign direct investment and employment, and of boilerplate clauses frequently used in commercial contracts.
