State pension age

The age at which the new state pension (or, before 6 April 2016, the basic state pension) becomes payable. SPA used to be age 65 for men and age 60 for women, but was equalised at age 65 for both sexes by November 2018. SPA rose to age 66 for both sexes from October 2020 and is rising to age 67 for both sexes between April 2026 and March 2028.
