The President of Employment Tribunals (England and Wales) ordered that all current and future claims raising the compatibility of Regulation 30 of the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006 with the Equal Treatment Framework Directive be stayed pending the decision of the European Court of Justice in R (on the application of the Incorporated Trustees of the National Council for Ageing v Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (the Heyday case).
