A look ahead to the expected arbitration related developments in France 2010.
The Task Force on the revision of the ICC Rules of Arbitration is continuing its review of the ICC arbitration rules. The Task force was mandated:
  • To study all suggestions received from National Committees, members of the ICC, users of the ICC rules of arbitration, Court members and members of the Secretariat.
  • To determine if amendments to the ICC rules of arbitration are useful or necessary.
  • To make any recommendations for the amendment of the ICC rules of arbitration that the Task Force deems to be useful or necessary.
In 2009, the ICC also formed a further Task Force on arbitration involving states or state entities (see Legal update, Investment treaty arbitration: anticipated developments in 2010).
We will continue to report on developments in 2010.
