Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), large employers would have been required to automatically enroll new full-time employees in one of the employer's health benefit plans, and to continue the enrollment of current employees. However, the automatic enrollment provision was repealed in November 2015 under the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015.
