This checklist outlines the factors considered by the court when it is asked to make a parental responsibility (PR) order under the Children Act 1989. It can be used as a helpful pre-proceedings checklist when acting for proposed applicants for a PR order or used to assist in the preparation of evidence in support of or in opposition to an application for a PR order.
