The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) issued a correction of its previously published final rules setting and adjusting patent fees as authorized by the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act (AIA).
On March 19, 2013, the USPTO issued a correction of its final rules, previously published on January 18, 2013 and generally effective on March 19, 2013, setting and adjusting patent fees under the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act (AIA). The correction:
  • Revises minor inconsistencies within the previously published rules or arising from other recent rulemakings under the AIA.
  • Corrects minor inconsistencies with a few of the regulations under the Patent Cooperation Treaty.
  • Corrects typographical errors.
