No Personal Jurisdiction Over a Corporation Whose Officer was Served in the Forum State: Ninth Circuit | Practical Law

The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit held in Martinez v. Aero Caribbean that service of process on a corporation's officer within the forum state while the officer is acting on behalf of the corporation is insufficient to create general personal jurisdiction over the corporation.
