A bond issue, a legal and regulatory disclosure document (also known as a prospectus or offering circular) aimed at preventing investor claims that they were not given all material information, or that they were misled by the issuer. For listed issuers, the IM must conform to the rules of the relevant stock exchange or listing authority and, if applicable, the requirements of the UK Prospectus Regulation. A share or asset purchase involving an auction sale, a document prepared by the seller to give prospective bidders a reasonable amount of information concerning the target company or business to elicit meaningful bids. A Euro commercial paper (ECP) programme, the equivalent of the prospectus in a bond issue, which looks like a short-form version of a standard bond prospectus but also contains the form of notes to be issued (including the terms and conditions).
