Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA)

A securities industry trade association that represents the interests of securities firms, banks, US-registered broker-dealers and asset managers. SIFMA represents its members on regulatory and legislative issues that impact the securities industry and also promotes investor education and public trust in the securities industry. In addition to the membership of individual securities firms and broker-dealers, SIFMA has several US and international affiliated organizations including the American Securitization Forum (ASF) and the European Securitization Forum (ESF).
SIFMA was formed by the merger of The Bond Market Association (BMA) and the Securities Industry Association (SIA).
