This chapter provides an overview of the 2012 revisions to the Swiss Rules of International Arbitration and the ICC Rules of Arbitration. In particular, it: summarises the main amendments to the two sets of rules that deal with efficiency considerations; examines mechanisms aimed at complex arbitrations; and discusses provisions relating to the emergency arbitrator.
