UNCITRAL has published the UNCITRAL Recommendations to assist arbitral institutions and other interested bodies in arbitration under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules 2010.
On 2 July 2012, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) adopted the UNCITRAL Recommendations to assist arbitral institutions and other interested bodies in arbitration under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules 2010 (see Legal update, UNCITRAL adopts Recommendations to assist arbitral institutions). The new Recommendations have now been published (see Recommendations to assist arbitral institutions and other interested bodies with regard to arbitration under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules as revised in 2010).
UNCITRAL had requested the secretariat to prepare a revised set of recommendations following the adoption of the Arbitration Rules 2010, particularly in light of the extended role of the appointing authority under those rules.
