Organised crime: European Commission adopts proposal for Regulation making Europol the hub for information sharing and analysis on serious crime | Practical Law

On 27 March 2013, the European Commission adopted a proposal for a Regulation on the EU Agency for Law Enforcement Co-operation and Training. The proposal aims to improve overall law enforcement co-operation in the EU by making Europol the hub for information sharing and analysis on serious crime, as well as the EU's single law enforcement training entity. On the same date, the Commission adopted a Communication establishing a European Law Enforcement Training Scheme.
