The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is seeking to launch MyUSPTO, an optional central online customer portal that will allow customers to create a portfolio of information that can be used for USPTO transactions. Pursuant to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the USPTO is seeking public comment on the proposed collection information in connecction with the MyUSPTO portal.
The USPTO is seeking to launch MyUSPTO, an optional online customer portal, which initially would serve as a source for customer contact and correspondence information, and would eventually allow customers to create a portfolio of information that can be used with a single login for other USPTO transactions, like electronic fee payments. The USPTO has not announced a launch date for the MyUSPTO portal.
Pursuant to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the USPTO is requesting public comment to, among other things, evaluate:
  • Whether the collection of information related to MyUSPTO is necessary for the USPTO's proper performance.
  • The accuracy of the USPTO's estimate of the burden of the proposed collection of information.
Public comments are due by June 4, 2013.
