Delaware has enacted the 2010 amendments to Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code.
Delaware enacted the 2010 amendments to Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (2010 Amendments) when the governor signed HB 8 on May 3, 2013. The bill provides for the Alternative B safe harbor approach for individual debtor name sufficiency in § 9-503(a), a choice favored by a minority of states. To date about 37 states and Puerto Rico have enacted the 2010 Amendments, which have a proposed uniform effective date of July 1, 2013. New York is the only state not to have introduced 2010 Amendments legislation.
