In Re Nortel Companies and others [2013] UKSC 52 (24 July 2013), the Supreme Court considered whether financial support directions and contribution notices, issued by the Pensions Regulator against a company in administration, were provable debts within the meaning of rule 13.12(1)(b) of the Insolvency Rules 1986 (SI 1986/1925).
