This Law Firm Publication by Jackson Lewis LLP discusses regulations adopted by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) to prevent the spread of influenza. The regulations cover everyone employed by or affiliated with covered health care facilities and agencies. They require most employees to be vaccinated against the flu or wear a mask in areas where patients or residents may be present. In addition, the regulations impose recordkeeping and reporting requirements on covered facilities and agencies, and require them to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
