A number of alternative pension clauses for insertion in an employment contract (for example, Standard documents, Employment contract for a junior employee or Employment contract for a senior employee) for use with different types of pension benefit.
These clauses address the introduction of auto-enrolment from 1 October 2012, with different options depending on whether an employer intends to auto-enrol new employees, or to operate contractual enrolment. For more information on auto-enrolment and its application to new, as well as existing employees, see Practice notes, Auto-enrolment: overview and Employment issues on pensions auto-enrolment.
