A general overview of renewable energy in the US, including its benefits and limits, the principal sources of renewable energy (including, solar, hydro, biomass, and wind), and how renewable energy is used in the US (for example, power generation and transportation fuel). This Note also discusses key federal and state tax incentives and programs promoting renewable energy in the US, including the production tax credit and investment tax credit.
