A Practice Note examining the admissibility of evidence obtained in a foreign country for use in a civil action in New York state courts. Specifically, this Note discusses issues concerning admitting evidence obtained abroad, including exceptions to the rule against hearsay, the authentication requirement and translating foreign evidence to English.
