Second Circuit

Southern District of New York

Judge Thomas P. Griesa updated his individual rules of practice. A copy of the previous version is available here.

Western District of Pennsylvania

The US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania added an online form for attorney admissions pursuant to Local Rule 83.2 A.

Fourth Circuit

Eastern District of Virginia

The US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia updated its chart tracking changes made to the court's ECF manual.

Western District of Virginia

The US District Court for the Western District of Virginia issued a standing order on its updated jury selection plan.

Fifth Circuit

Eastern District of Louisiana

Magistrate Judge Sally Shushan posted a template for an order for scheduling settlement conferences.

Sixth Circuit

Northern District of Ohio

Judge James G. Carr updated his civil case management procedures.

Seventh Circuit

Southern District of Illinois

The US District Court for the Southern District of Illinois issued an administrative order stating that effective January 1, 2015, the Court will allow credentialed members of the media to bring the following electronic devices into the courthouse and courtrooms: laptops, tablets and smartphones.

Southern District of Indiana

The US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana updated its Uniform Patent Case Management Plan. Under the revised Uniform Patent Case Management Plan, if any party is going to seek the production of a substantial volume of ESI, they must complete the ESI Supplement to the Report of the Parties' Planning Meeting. The revised Uniform Patent Case Management Plan supersedes all previous Patent CMP Plans: the Phase I plan, the Post-Markman Phase II plan and the separate plan for Track 3 design patent cases.

Eighth Circuit

District of Minnesota

The US District Court for the District of Minnesota announced that it will be upgrading its CM/ECF software to the Next Generation (NextGen) of CM/ECF in the upcoming months. The District of Minnesota will be among the first district courts in the country, along with the Northern District of Florida and the District of Kansas, to upgrade to this new release. The target date for the new software to be installed is in early 2015.

Ninth Circuit

Central District of California

Judge Percy Anderson revised his procedures to reflect that criminal motions will be heard on Mondays at 3:00 p.m. instead of 3:30 p.m.
Judge Andrew J. Guilford updated his:
Judge Suzanne H. Segal updated her procedures to allow parties to contact her Courtroom Deputy Clerk and schedule an informal discovery status conference if the parties believe such a conference would be useful in formulating a discovery plan or avoiding a discovery dispute. These conferences generally are held telephonically.
Judge Otis D. Wright II updated his individual rules to require counsel who manually file at the civil intake window will be required to provide one original and two copies along with a self-addressed envelope.

Northern District of California

The US District Court for the Northern District of California revised its standing order for all judges in the district. A copy of the previous version is available here.

Tenth Circuit

District of Kansas

The US District Court for the District of Kansas announced that it will be upgrading its CM/ECF software to the Next Generation (NextGen) of CM/ECF in the upcoming months. The District of Kansas will be among the first district courts in the country, along with the Northern District of Florida and the District of Minnesota, to upgrade to this new release. The target date for the new software to be installed is in early 2015.

The US District Court for the District of Utah updated its CM/ECF and E-filing Administrative Procedures Manual. A copy of the previous version is available here.

Eleventh Circuit

Middle District of Florida

Judge Roy B. Dalton, Jr. updated his Case Management Report in Patent Cases. A copy of the previous version is available here.

Northern District of Florida

The US District Court for the Northern District of Florida announced that it will be upgrading its CM/ECF software to the Next Generation (NextGen) of CM/ECF in the upcoming months. The Northern District of Florida will be among the first district courts in the country, along with the District of Kansas and the District of Minnesota, to upgrade to this new release. The target date for the new software to be installed is in early 2015.
