This article examines the regulatory framework, structure, requirements and restrictions on, and the disclosure requirements for, DIREs in Indonesia. The recent tax incentives adopted in MOF Regulation 200 and planned in the 11th Package are also reviewed, which demonstrate a clear and strong intention on the part of Indonesian policymakers and lawmakers to boost the competitiveness of the DIRE market, and to encourage DIREs to be listed domestically.
