Igor co-heads the Moscow office corporate practice group. He is experienced in the areas of corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, bankruptcy, international litigation and arbitration, project & trade finance, and subsoil law. Igor has particular experience advising Russian and foreign companies on Russian and international corporate reorganizations and acquisitions, financings and investments in the metals, precious metals, and oil industries. He is listed as a top corporate/M&A lawyer by Chambers Global, Chambers Europe and the IFLR 1000.
Igor's recent work includes:
advising Integra Group on a $70 million acquisition of drilling assets;
advising TNK-BP in connection with the sale of OAO Saratovneftegaz, OAO Orsknefteorgsintez, OAO Orenburgnefteprodukt, OAO Neftemaslozavod;
advising TNK-BP in connection with corporate restructuring of its Russian group; and
advising Tyumen Oil Company (TNK) and its shareholders, Alfa-Access-Renova (AAR), on certain aspects of a $18 billion joint-venture alliance with British Petroleum (BP), the largest foreign investment/equity deal in Russia since the break-up of the Soviet Union.
Prior to joining White & Case in 1997, Igor worked as chief legal advisor at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and as a private legal practitioner for more than five years. During this period he represented local and international clients and acted as local counsel for several international law firms in the Republic of Belarus.
Since 1994 Igor has served as an arbitrator of the International Arbitration Court under the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
