Financial Stability Board (FSB)

An international organization founded by the G-20 in April 2009 as the successor to the Financial Stability Forum. The FSB coordinates the work of national financial authorities and international standard-setting bodies to develop and promote the implementation of effective regulatory, supervisory and other financial sector policies. The FSB's mandate is to address vulnerabilities and to develop and implement strong regulatory, supervisory and other policies in the interest of financial stability.
