Power Center

A retail shopping center that is typically an open-air shopping center where most of the tenants are big box tenants.
Generally, power centers offer retail space ranging from 250,000 to one million square feet of leasable space.
The retailers at a power center offer a large selection of merchandise in a particular category at low prices. The shopping center is usually deemed a power center when it consists of several freestanding big box tenants and a few, if any, small specialty tenants. However, a big box tenant in a power center may also be structurally attached to one or more of the other retailers in the power center.
