The China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) Arbitration Rules 2012 have come into force.
The CIETAC Arbitration Rules 2012 have entered into force. CIETAC is the leading arbitration commission for foreign-related arbitrations in China. The main amendments should be welcomed by CIETAC users and are in line with amendments to other international arbitration rules (see Legal update, CIETAC releases new arbitration rules).
PLC Arbitration has re-published Practice note, Resolving disputes in China through arbitration, which has been reviewed and updated by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer to include both the 2012 and 2005 versions of the rules.
