First-tier tribunal does not have power to remit a case to the Information Commissioner (Upper Tribunal (Administrative Appeals Chamber) | Practical Law

The Upper Tribunal has held in The Information Commissioner v Gordon Bell [2014] UKUT 0106 (AAC) that the First-tier Tribunal (Information Rights) did not have jurisdiction under section 50 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to remit a case to the Information Commissioner for further consideration and decision once he had issued a decision notice.
