National Markets and Competition Commission (Comision Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia) (CNMC) | Practical Law

This is the regulatory body under the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness for the energy sector. It monitors the efficiency, responsibility, operational objectivity and transparency of energy systems, to the benefit of all those individuals who work in these systems as well as consumers. It also has a role in enforcing Spanish competition rules within the energy sector.
