A guide to changes in insolvency practice and procedure brought about by the Practice direction on insolvency proceedings 2014, which came into force on 29 July 2014. The practice direction replaces the Practice direction on insolvency proceedings 2012 and all other previous practice directions, practice statements and practice notes relating to insolvency proceedings, except for Practice direction 49B regarding contributories' winding up petitions.

Note: a new Practice Direction on insolvency proceedings came into force on 25 April 2018, superseding the 2014 Practice Direction and a further revised version came into force on 4 July 2018.
