Collective Bargaining Agreement: Dues Checkoff Clause | Practical Law
A Standard Clause that can be included in a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) to require an employer to deduct union dues or agency fees from bargaining unit employees' pay and remit those monies to the union. Sometimes referred to as a checkoff clause, this Standard Clause is based on the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), as amended by the Labor Management Relations Act (LMRA), but may be used by private sector employers subject to the Railway Labor Act (RLA) or public sector employers.
